Show Myton City News Section Pvt. Vaughn Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. N, L. Peterson left Sunday for Fort Ord, California, where he will get further orders. Ladies Aid The Ladies Aid held a food and rumage sale Thursday to mSke money for their society. Bridge at Todds The Friday bridge club met at the home of Miss Alice Todd Friday. Those present were Mrs. Lee Cooper, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Robin-son, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. Wm. Linck and Mrs. Ed Ponton. Lunch was served by the hostess. Sunday Dinner Jack Cannon, Linda and Jack, Jr., and Fred Musser were dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preece Sunday. Sunday Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Smith and family, Olga Solmonson, Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Solmonson and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Jennings and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Solmonson of Idaho, were dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Solmonson. Harry and LaPearl Jackman left for their home in Salt Lake City, Saturday. They have been with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Broome during the summer. The following left for Mt. Pleasant, Monday to attend school at the Wasatch academy, , Mary Harris, Nancy Todd, Dart and Nina Babcock and Richard Jennings, Miss Alice Todd and Ralph Dart drove Nancy, and Mary down, Nina went with Marrimons of Whiterocks, Richard Rich-ard went on the bus. The nurse of Ft. Duchesne went to Albuquerque, Texas to take Virginia Nick; John Nick went last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bratkcr and family of Green River, Wyoming were visiting her father, Wm. Jennings and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanner and family made a business trip to Price Wednesday. Mrs. Emma Tanner accompanied them home where she has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Olsen of Helper. Help-er. Mr. and Mrs. Walter West of Salt Lake City are visiting Mrs. West's brother and sister-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Wm Linck. WiJmer Murray of Layton, came home Saturday to spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dennis and family of Layton were here this week looking after their place. V. J. Mortenson and two boys of Monroe are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Linck over the week end, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris left for Rifle, Colorado Sunday to celebrate Labor Day and visit relatives and friends. Erwin Gill of Salt Lake City was visiting his aunt, Mrs. Emery Nielson Friday. Mrs. Sheldon Bucklew and baby of Garfield went home Friday. Fri-day. She has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Leonard Harris. Mrs. Nielson, mother of Mrs. Leonard Harris of Salt Lake City went home Friday. She spent the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Verholt and daughter, Christean of Spring Glenn, were visiting Mrs. Emma Tanner Wednesday. Jack Cannon and family of Salt Lake City spent a few days with F. S. Musser. Mrs. Howard Roberts is enjoying enjoy-ing a visit with her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart of Springvillc, were visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish this week. Mrs. Thomas Guyn and son, Jack who is in the Marines, were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preece last week, Ralph Walker was visiting this week with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Orvill Dart. Mrs. Lional Babcock went to Salt Lake City on business Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Payne and family of Provo were visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bywater on Labor Day. Mr. and Mrs. Trueman Mitchell Mitch-ell were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Arzy Mitchell Sunday. Mrs. Wm. Hancock and Mrs. Trueman Mitchell went to Upal-co Upal-co Monday to assist in sewing for Mr. and Mrs. Leary Mathews, child that was drowned Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Charles Meranda, and Sally of American Fork were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Orson Ungritch Sunday. Miss Ardith Woods, of Salt Lake City is visiting her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Eliza Woods this week. Mark Curtis who is employed at Vernal spent the week with his family. Abe Smith was here this week on business. |
