Show FASHION EXPERT SETS SPECIAL eler like Jane Bown, Sears Fashion Director, must (eel a little unnerved after battling almost every conceivable obstacle in order to meet with officials of Sears and the Newcomers Club to plan the March 8 tashioo show in Salt Lake City. But if she was ruffled, her cheerful disposition and professional bearing did not betray her feelings. The attractive blonde left New York City early Monday to attend a luncheon, reception and a series of meetings to plan the coming fashion show, but dense fog prevented the plane from landing in Salt Lake. The flight, scheduled to return to Denver, went oo to land at Ogden and activities that had been cancelled were jgnickly As if the ride through thick fog from Ogden to Salt Lake was not enough. Miss Bown's luggage had been misplaced by the airlines in the confusion, but she carried on in fine feminine tradition . . . even without a toothbrush. Also scheduled for the meet, but unable to attend because of the fog, was Dorothy Hobbs, Sears Fashion Board representative on the Pacific Coast. Miss Hobbs samples fashion trends from the West Coast viewpoint, and reports to the York-basFashion New nerve-wracki- ng ed Board what's coming over the horizon for the rest of the country, to be incorporated as part of the board's planning.
