Show LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF BOND ELECTION THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF JORDAN SCHOOL DISTRICT, UTAH PUBLIC December 31 , 1964 IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in Jordan School District, State of Utah, on the 21st day of January, 1965, at which election there shall te submitted to the registered voters who have paid a property tax within sad district, during the year next preceding such election, the following question to wit Shall the Board of Education of Jordan School District, Salt Lake County, State of Utah, be authorized to issue and sell bonds of the district in the amount of Nine Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($9,500,000) to mature annually, the first in the year to mature of installment principal 1967 and the last installment of principal to mature in the year 1976, and to bear interest at a rate or rates not in excess of 4 12 per annum, for the purpose of raisin? money for purchasing school sites, for building or pure asm? one or more school houses and the same with supplying nature and necessary apparatus, and for improving school property under the char?- - of the Board of Education? If at the time of issuance it shall be legally possible, each bond shall be in the denomination of $1,000 or $5,000, to be determined by the Board of Education at or after the sale thereof, otherwise each bond shall be in the denomination of $1,000. Devey PRECINCT SKYLINE HIGH SOUNDS from GAE HOLLADAY Student Musical Climaxes Season Christmas program feacombined Skylines choruses and concert orchesA turing tra brought the holiday season to a musical climax. Sounds of Christmas, under the direction of music Lawrence Bird Instructors and Donald Rippllnger, was presented Wednesday, December 23, in the Skyline auditorium. Among the numbers performed were arrangements from the recordings of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Tabernacle Choir in their Joy of Christmas" record. Special permission to use the arrangements was granted to Skyline by Leroy Robertson, who arranged the original soundtrack of the record. Joy to the World and Come All Ye Faithful were two of the original numbers performed. The cone ert choir presented 10 numbers, accompanied by the orchestra for seven of them . The mood changed from the sublime to the gay with a special calypso number. Over four hundred Skyline students participated on the by program, attended students, parents and guests. JUNIOR ASSEMBLY The holiday entertainment for the student body W ednesday, December 23 when they presented their Christmas assembly. The scene of Holiday inn was a ski lodge where teenagers spend their on the ski vacation, high slopes. Junior Sue Leonard sang ill Be Home for Christmas, while a group danced to Sleigh Bells added gaiety to the atmosphere. Star cast included John Moreau as Mr. Pettigrow, the nervous lodge proprietor; Mokey Gertino, the master of ceremonies; and Doug McNeil as the old man.- Beth chairman Scrlpt Springer was aided by faculty advisors and class officers Peter Cairo, Kent Lambert, and Nancy Alan. Texas during the holidays. Colonel Dale E. Dunn led the boys into drill exhibitions, after which they marched in the parade. The choir day in a Christmas performed fashion singing many of your favorite carols. Home, in Sound Of Music Friday, December 18, the combined bands from Hillcrest, Murray, and Granite High Schools performed before the entire student body in the Hillcrest auditorium. The band was the largest ever to perform at Hillcrest. , The Skyline Civil Air Pa- trol Cadets performed at the Sun Bowl Festival in El Paso, Leigh Stark, production manager for the Rocky Mountain Review, draws out the winning Barbie Doll ticket for East Millcreek Jaycettes Mrs. Thomas Morris, left, and Mrs. Dee Baxter, president. First place prize of dolls plus wardrobes was won by Mrs. S. N. Grice, Smithfleld, Virginia second and third wardrobe prizes went to Jo Stottern, 3205 Delmar Drive and Virginia Tregeagle, 3235 Bon View Drive. The Jaycettes fundraising project netted over $70. for the Holladay Childrens Center and Mt. The Hillcrest High A Cappella has also been chosen one of six schools in the state to send tape recordings of their choir to Long Beach, California, for judging. The best group will go to 4, to Long Beach April sing for the Western Division of the Music Educators National Convention. A buffet supper was served to approximately 350 employees and staff members of the hospital. Party arrangements were made by the Cottonwood HosVolunteers Auxiliary pital with Mrs. Dennis Hadley as chairman of the event. - person will be permitted to vote at said election unless he shall be a registered voter residing in the School Representative Precinct in which he offers to vote and shall have paid a property tax in said school district during the year next preceding such election.
