Vike, Salt Lake City cardiologist and clinical professor fo medicine, will deliver the convocation address at the 1965 Academic Convocation of the University of Utah College of Medicine All University degrees will be formally conferred at the general commencement ceremonies Friday evening, June 11, but individual college diplmas will be presented at separate convocations on Saturday. Doctor Viko s address, "Challenges in Our Medical Times," will emphasise the difficulties physicians face in meeting the tremendous advances in medical knowledge. He will elaborate on problems within the changing roles of government and hospitals and the medical profession. Doctor Viko, former Salt Lake Health Commissioner and former member of the University of Utah Board of Regents, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard University in 1920. He was a resident physician in cardiology under Doctor Paul Dudley White at the Massachusetts General Hospital In Boston.
