Delvie, Capri Park. The Delvies were joined by the large circle of friends to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary. The reception was given by the couples son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. William F. Delvie, at the beautiful Mary's Palace Annex of the Lamplighter Restaurant on Foothill Boulevard. Mrs. Delvie is the former Marie Wagner of Spokane, Washingt m, and it was there that courted her. The couple Chicagoan Frank Delvie met moved to Salt Lake City in 1944. Frank E. Delvie is a pioneer in Utahs plastic products Industry and Is head of a wholesale plastic distribution firm which be operates in association with his son, William. Opened through the efforts of the Salt Lake City Parks Department and the Salt Lake County Recreation Department, the center plans a full slate of activities and relaxation programs. Center director is Georgina Wilson, an arts and crafts instructor. She Is available at the center from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M , Monday, Tuesday, 'Wednesday and F riday at each month. Here, students from Sherman Elementary School, the first school in the district to boast a TV set In every classroom, attentively watch the magic tube. Educational television programs range from a wide variety of interesting subjects including languages, science, social studies, history and art. Granite presently Is utilizing 16 educational shows offered by the University at Utah plus the 10 programs produced by the Granite District. Creative dramatics, dance movement, costume, scenery and lighting for children's theater activities will all be discussed and demonstrated. Fifteen children will actually particpate In the workshop to help demonstrate creative drama. The workshop faculty Include: Mrs. Jean McMillen, instructor atColoradoCollege who Is well known throughout the country for her work In creative dramatics and children's theater; Miss Francis Bliesner, U. of U. Pioneer Memorial Theater costumer who has unbounded Imagination in the realm of costume design for children's theatre; Professor Shirley R. Ririe, talented choreographer, dancerand member of the University's Modern Dance Department faculty; and Professor Vera Adix, director at the summer workshop, the University of UtahYoung People's Theater, and the University Theater staff designer. The Children's Theater Workshop will be conducted In the Pioneer Memorial Theater. Sessions are scheduled daily from 8 A M. to 12 noon and 1 to S P.M. Two hours of college credit are available.
