Scott Bringhurts and Fred Hornlck have been chosen 1965 cross country captains. Highland Associated Men (HAM) have been sponsoring intramural sports activities from the opera Price Igor. It was written by Alex Borodin. The three other schools are West, Hillerest and Murray. TEACHERS HONORED Senior Nedra Christensen traveled to Hollywood in the late fall and made a record. UTAHS JUNIOR MISS PAGEANT will be held in Salt Lake City, January 30, February 5, and 6. The state winner will receive a years tuition scholarship to the University of Utah, and many other valuable prizes. The Junior Miss title is given to the high school senior girl between the ages of 16 and 19 who best typifies the Ideal American teenager. Judging for the Junior M iss Pageant is based on good out- character, intelligence, standing scholarship, citizenship, excellent leadership quality, talent, poise, personality, charm and lady-lik- e bearing. purpose of the Junior Miss Pageant is to publicize, for a change, the good qualities of teenagers, and to honor them as fine citizens. Also, to encourage high schoolgirls to continue their education. Standards of the Junior Miss selection are high. Any high school senior girl may apply, and those with proven scholastic ability and leadership qualities are considered for candidacy. Among the contestants in previous pageants have been straight A stunational merit dents, scholars, and student body and class offlrers.
