She was vice chairman then GOLD She Is a member of the NAACP, Delta Gamma Sorority, American Association of the United Nations. She was a member of the Council fop 15 years and until 1957 a member of the American Association of University Women. YWCA I Her wartime volunteer ofshe refice was just that cruited helpers for various charity projects. Projects included Red Cross and civil defense courses, war bond drives, blood donations, rolling bandages, knitting clothing. "It was a very interesting experience, but it took more of me than anything else I've done. said Miss Brown of her six day eight hour a day plus war time job "But it was well worth it, she added, and wonderful to know all at our faithful volunteers. Between aiding charity. Miss Brown squeezed in a lot of world travel. She toured Europe and attended the New York School of Art in Paris from 1927 until 1928. She traveled through South America in 1939 and motored through Mexico in 1956. When time permits, she likes to putter in her garden at 1784 East 3900 South. from 1922 until the 1924 and again from 1935 to 1937.
