Bowles Award sented to Brent during an assembly last week. Presenting the award was the Secretary of State, Clyde Miller. The award is sponsored by the Midvale Jaycees, a boys club under the direction of the Midvale Jaycees. Brent is not only getting good grades but is also very active in extracuricular activities. He is the secretary of the Jaycees Club, Junior Representative in the Hillcrest Key Club, a member of the A Cappeua Choir and plays the trombone in the Utah Youth Symphony. He also organized the Midvale Peanut Football League. Richard T. Bowles, far whom the award is named, was Boy of the Yearfor Utah in 1963. Richard was very much liked, and so when he died last summer, they decided to name the award after him.
