If, however, he was not our first choice lor the office prior to the Convention, our clear last choice at that time was Lyndon Johnson. That man is Barry Gold-wate- r. r and wall ooco We shall deal primarily with the personal character of Barry Goldwater in that his Democratic detractors have devoted inordinate effort in the attempt to impugn it. Fortunately, Goldwater has established a personal record which belies this Democratic attempt at character assassination. We have studied that record, and have determined to vote for him. You will note that this statement does not deal in derogatory references regarding the personal character of the incumbent. Barry Goldwater is personally worthy of the Presi- dential office. That being the case, we need not show Johnson to be personally unw'orthy of it, in that Goldwater, not Johnson, most closely enunciates American principles. We ask you to join with us in voting for Barry Goldwater, for traditional Republican principles, and for the entire Republican ticket. I a d. i 4 , 5 I O. WEBSTER ADAMS, JR LOUIS H.
