But photographs are frozen rqemorles and bring back only one scene. ..buttons bring to life a whole segment of time and people. These days, I dont know how much virtue there is In saving buttons. There Is a self conscious feeling of Yankee thrift that comes over one when the buttons are cut off an old shirt before it is sonslgned to the rag bag. And It Is a Joy to search for a single button of Just the right size and color... and come up with It, Just when you need It. But most people arent enough MIA DANCE We received an Invitation to the MIA Interstake Dance Season at the Terrace Ballroom. These dances are held once a month and cost a $1.25 per person. The first one was held last Saturday. We werent able to attend because hubby had to work, but well try to make the next dance on November 21. As much as I love people, It will be good to attend a dance that will conform to LDS standards. Under the leadership of B Larson, work was begun on the Salt Lake City Elder Citizens' Center, the Hall of justice and the Salt Lake County Detention Home, plus purchases of property for recreation - ALL of which have won commendation from citizens who recognized the need for Salt Lake County to stop ignoring problems and SOLVE them. His main idea Is to become close enough to your children, so they will tell everything to you wlthoutbelng pumped. The way to accomplish this Is to be a friend as well as a parent. But there are some of us who still remember, who cherish the memories of those Idle hours when we sat and sorted buttons and didnt think of tomorrow.
