Gary Stahl, noted for his football quarterbacking and basketball scoring. Is the left fielder. Stahl, one of the finest Titan ahtletes to come along, is a Junior and is assigned-t- o the left field spot. Stahl is a good hitter and tagged outa much Improved fielder by his coach. Another Junior, Rick Stevenson, Is set for rlghtfield duty. Stevenson is untried in Olympus High star John Telford recently completed a tour with the United States Army. Telford, 19, served with the transportation Corp of the Army during his stint. Telford was named in baseball during his 1963 season with the Olympus High team and during the summer of the same season won a berth on the American Legion All-Stteam. He played on the Holladay Post 71 team as a first base-ma- n under coach Ken J. Price. In the High School game, Telford was awarded a "Most Valuable Award for his play in the game. Major League baseball scout voted him the honor. Biggest chore facing Coach Ashby In the infield Is filling the big gap left by little Mike Beyeler. Beyeler, an allstater for the Titans, was lost va the graduation route. Baseballers vying for the coveted second base spot InRick Curtis, Steve clude fenton, and Bryan Gunderson, there seems to be no cinch thus far though a final decision must come shortly from Ashby.
