Smith, president of the Silver Dollar Mining Co. which shares in ore of the Sunshine Unit Area where the strike was opened up. Smith said that the vein probably is what was called the Copper Vein when it was opened on the 3100 level. The crosscut is being driven preliminary to the sinking the No.l 2 shaft. The vein also was opened in a crosscut on the 3700 level about 200 feet east of the present crosscut, he added, but was not commercial at that point.
