Commission Atomic Energy has issued a summary report on a survey of completed and planned arrangements for supplying fuel for nuclear power plants. The survey data reflect conditions as of February 1, 1970. ... Forty-fou- r utilities questioned by die AECs Division of Raw Materials provided data on 94 nuclear ' plants with a total capacity of 73,500 electrical megawatts which were operable, under construction or on order at the time of the survey. Information also was obtained from uranium producers and reactor manufacturers. As of June 1, 1970, further orders for nuclear power plants increased this total to 81,400 MWE. In addition utilities have announced plans for 6.760 MWE of added capacity. The survey report shows that domestic uranium producers have contracted to supply 75,100 tons of uranium oxide to be delivered in 1970 through 1984 to domestic utilities and reactor manufacturers. This is an increase of 9,500 tons over later. The report also covers such topics as utility plans for reactor fuel, including fuel leased from AEC or obtained from uranium manufacturers. over-the-count- can be Some even feel the very phrase interpreted as lowering the image of unlisted stocks.
