Show I 1 ELSINORE MARY DIARY P AHLSTROM correspondent I 1 0 0 funeral held for old resident funeral services were held saturday afternoon in the elsinore ward chapel for antone 66 who died at his home wednesday albert 0 engar of the ward bishopric conducted the services musical numbers were oh my father and beautiful home duets ducts by misses juanita nielson and stella marble a violin solo by evelyn sylvester accompanied by mrs minnie kotter and a vocal solo one fleeting hour by robert kotter speakers were D P jensen of richfield and henry J kotter the opening prayer was by bishop leon T madsen the benediction by C 0 anderson of central interment was in the elsinore Elsin cemetery antone was born at greenaa denmark november 29 1868 at the age of 13 he came to america with his sister gena and brothers fred and august and settled at elsinore he stayed but a short time at elsinore As a young man he lived in dixie an and d in cache county he returned to elsinore and there married josephine jensen january 10 1897 she died three years later and he moved to salt lake city returning in 1927 to continue his residence here As a young man his occupation was farming he was a m musician and leader of the elsinore band he was also a member of john holds band in salt lake a number of years he was at one time employed as a traveling collector for the deseret news and the herald republican I 1 he is survived by one son othello of central two brothers lauretz of phoenix arizona ferdinand of portland oregon four sisters mrs airs cena bell of elsinore mrs marie everly of alhambra california miss mina of los angeles and mrs gena nielson of washington mrs wallace gregerson mrs grant roberts and mrs garth gray spent last week in salt lake city mrs lapreal returned from salt lake sunday bringing her parents mr and mrs H C larson home the larsons spent the winter in salt lake while there mr larson underwent a serious operation his condition is improving nicely miss pearl fullmer entertained the girls sewing club thursday evening at the home of mrs lapreal A delightful luncheon was served to thir thirteen guests mr and mrs airs reed thurston have moved to richfield where mr air thurston is employed cray larson son of mr and mrs lamar larson is in salt salt lake this week for eye treatment the junior high school operetta bobby under direction of anthony christensen will be presented thursday evening at the opera house peter E christensen was a recent salt lake visitor mrs ransom herring had as weekend guests mr and mrs roy ashcroft and mr and mrs floyd moore of antimony mr and mrs elmo herring of kimberly were guests of mr and mrs ransom herring monday |
