Show UTAH WILL IN SALT LA I 1 IK ciff 1000 expected to attend program of unusual interest approximately 1000 poultry men from utah and southern idaho are expected to gather in salt lake for the annual convention of the utah poultry producers cooperative association set for january 19 and 20 at the newhouse hotel clyde C edmonds as association ocia general manager announces the poultry convention will fol jow ow the annual conclave of the utah turkey Gro growers association for january IS 18 at the hotel and precede the yearly utah cami bureau meet january 21 to 23 at the same place r all poultry producers and enthusiasts whether among the members of the utah association or not aie invited to attend the sessions aroble problems s vital to the continued success of poultry industry wid arid to increased profits for individual producers will be discussed by y some of the nations foremost authorities poultry feeds and feeding disease control methods of bettering production efficiencies and marketing problems are headline topics on the program reports mr edmonds the turkey growers convention will begin at 10 a m monday january 18 with demarr dudley of jensen state association president acting as chairman the program will include reports from the state officers president dudley B al mendenhall of spring ville vice president and K jensen of manti secretary talks by herbert beyers assistant general manager of the northwestern turkey growers association mr edmonds general manager and vice president of the association benjamin brown director of markets for the utah poultry association at new york and professor byron alder the convention will conclude with an open discussion of problems and election of 1932 officers joseph anderson of lehl lehi president of the utah poultry producers association will preside at the poultry convention which kopea opens at a m tuesday january 19 following the presidents annual address mayor louis marcus will welcome the poultry men of the state mr edmonds will give the managers report and other i interesting talks will be given during the morning session at 2 p in the afternoon session will begin featuring addresses by mr brown george F stallings of eden state farm bureau president dr hugh hurst poultry veterinarian governor george H dern will be the first speaker wednesday morning followed by professor alder and carl A badger at the afternoon meeting mr edmonds will analyze the associations fin ances dr E G peterson will speak and the convention will conclude with the election of three new directors those retiring are jesse W hoopes of Brig brigham fiam city hans rigtrup and J J richfield the new board of directors will then meet to reorganize |
