Show ab nb 0 F T GUNN funeral services were held sunday afternoon in the beaver east ward for frederick thomas gunn 82 who died june 22 at the home of his daughter mrs grace larson of elsinore following a paralytic stroke the previous dachis day his health had been good up to the time of the stroke interment was in the mountain view cemetery at beaver mr burin gunn was born in philadelphia february 5 1856 As a child he canie came to utah with his parents thomas and ann houghton gunn the family lived in salt lake city three years then moved to parowan carowan Pa rowan and thence to panguitch and circleville Cir cleville they were driven from the latter two settlements by indians and lived for a few years at paragonah Para gonah the family settled at adamsville Adams ville in 1867 and there mr gunn lived until 1919 when he moved to beaver A prominent stockman and farmer mr gunn was also active in civic and church affairs he was bishop of the adamsville Adams ville ward for 20 years A a member of the beaver stake high council and had spent two years in the central states as a missionary after af ter moving tice to beaver he became justice of the peace and president and director of the state bank of beaver county until it closed in 1932 mr gunn was married november 23 1880 in the st george temple to sarah A Green greenhalgh greenhaugh haigh reece she died in 1933 and since then he spent part of his time with his children he was wa s with his daughter in elsinore the past winter and spring surviving are five sons and four daughters all of whom were at the funeral they are mrs grace larsen and frank D gunn of elsinore horace F gunn of richfield thomas W and john A gunn and mrs airs mable afable mcshane of beaver mrs airs ada bateman of salt lake stanley R gunn of logan and mrs airs henrie t 11 t a murdock of Sa sacramento sacrament cramen t 0 california surviving also are three sisters mrs annie E joseph and mrs alice G white of beaver and mrs lois farnsworth of ely nevada 32 grandchildren and two great grandchildren |
