Show IMI ff TUBBY fitting funeral services held in third ward chapel funeral services were held tuesday afternoon in the third ward chapel for mrs elvina J nielson 73 wife of amos nielson who fied died at her home here saturday morning after a brief illness the services were presided over by bishop W L warner wamer of the second ward music was in charge of mrs florence anderson and included selections by a quartet composed of floyd bell kenneth L hood mrs florence anderson and mrs helen poulson with miss bliss mildred hansen as accompanist a violin solo by J G hilgendorff accompanied by mrs hilgendorff a vocal trio by misses madge una and anna lou fou peterson a solo by kenneth L hood the speakers were bishop jensen of the third ward S G clark and G W coons the speakers in telling of mrs Ni elsons many fine characteristics referred to her loyalty to her adopted country in sending her sons to two different wars her eldest son saw service in in the spanish american war and her youngest son lost his life in the world war closing remarks were by bishop warner who offered the consolation and regrets of the second ward at her parting mrs lorena sorensen read sentiments of respect in behalf of camp cove daughters of utah pioneers of which mrs nielson was an active member the invocation was offered by C L bean and the benediction by jas j as al peterson interment was in the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by chris peterson alvina jenson nielson was born september 30 1858 in copenhagen denmark and came to this country as a baby with her parents making the the long trek across the plains lains with a band handcart cart company Is As a girl she lived with her parents in several towns of the state but made Ri richfield clifield her home after her m marriage a n a g e she is survived by her hu husband aa d amos nielson five sons and daughters mrs simon larsen mrs J J dunn and leo nielson of richfield charles nielson of monroe and walter nielson of marysvale Marys vale one brother emil jensen of salina one sister mrs geo baker of Riel richfield ifield 19 grand grandchildren ebil and three great grandchild dren |
