Show FORMER HES IgENT OF SEIER co anty DIES ff funeral held sunday for mrs sadie olsen oisen mrs sadie olsen 55 wife of osmond olsen died in manti wednesday after an illness of several months mrs olsen was born bom at prattville sevier county nov 8 1876 a daughter of joseph S and sarah brown at the age of nine years she went with her parents to annabella where she lived for a number of years part of her early life was spent in pleasant grove with her grandparents john and elizabeth brown where she graduated from the public schools she was a student of the sevier stake academy at richfield also the brigham young academy at provo in 1898 she was U S postmistress at the lee ferry colony arizona and here she was instrumental in organizing a school district becoming a school teacher at the colony in 1904 she was called from the sevier stake as a worker in the manti temple which position she filled for seven years she married osmand olsen aug 29 1911 in the manti temple and to this union union was born one child mrs olsen was a devoted church worker and has filled many important positions including ing president dent of the Y L M 1 I A teacher in sunday school and primary and secretary of the genealogical association surviving ving i besides her husband is one son olsen one adopted daughter delma her mother mrs sarah B of annabella seven sisters mrs elizabeth S payne of provo mrs virginia cloward mrs vivian chris ti an both of Richfield Mrs nellie peterson of vernal mrs lydia peacock of los angeles mrs louine lundgreen of monroe and mrs genevieve olsen of austin nevada one brother J B of annabella funeral services were held sunday at manti among the speakers were mrs alice hoyt morrel of duchesne county 1 a former sevier county teacher who spoke at the services at the request of the deceased president R D young of the sevier stake president james R ware of the south sevier stake and mrs sadie tooth olsen who was mrs 01 sens nurse during her long illness 1 the mother of mrs olsen olse lier her brother and all of her sisters with the exception of mrs peacock attended the services many other relatives and friends from sevier and sanpete counties were in attendance |
