This is a very handsome, and commodious home and will be equally attractive on the farm, in the smaller towns, or in the city. :To get the best effect, however, this home should be set on a lot where there is plenty of room for allowing trees and decorative garden. The home Is 30 feet long and 24 feet ' deep and is of frame construction. Without the open porch at one end, the sun room at the other, end, and the colonial type pergola porch roof with the colonial columns. It would be a rather plain rectangular home. Stucco Colors and Odd Forged Iron Hardware Textures Here to Stay Adds to Period Home Among all the details which go to achieve atmosphere and individuality in a house, forged iron hardware has always held Important place. Indeed, with the continually spreading tendency to build period homes of Elizabethan, Spanish, colonial and other types the call for such hardware has become universal. , has Recently one manufacturer made available beautiful forged iron hardware to fit the spirit of these modern homes. It is fabricated In the finest, authentic traditions of the art of mental craftsmanship. There seems to have been a strange sympathy In the medieval mind with the properties of irdn that led in those days to a very wise use of it in many different ways. During the years from the Tenth to the Seventeenth century some of the finest examples were produced. In later times our own forefathers with a directness of purpose and crispness of line which characterize bo much of their handicraft, brought to a high degree of excellence the forging of Iron hardware, and some of their designs, the Curley lock, the have tulip and the heart, won a popularity which bids fair to Increase as time goes on. ...... It is these three designs, together with the Etruscan motivated from some excellent examples of Iron craft of medieval days found In southern Europe, which are now available to home builders, in absolutely authentic form, by the introduction of this new fitted iron hardware. Texture and color effects through the use of stucco in residence construction apparently are here to stay. And such effects have received the approval of the most noteworthy persons In the building profession, for colors and textures mean an end to the commonplace and the drab in the building of even the smallest homes. They mean that every person has an opportunity to express himself or herself in the exterior as well as the interior of the home. But where a colored exterior is to be used, a wise precaution is to avoid material that Is, stucco that is mixed with color on the job, for the result is likely to be a series of uneven shades plainly marked. In the orient the colored stucco used is of a natural shade, that is, the color is a part of the material. The same result is achieved in this country by mixing mineral pigment Into the stucco at the factory. In this way exact proportions of mix are obtained and the product is so controlled that all of it is of a specific color that does not change or fade to the action of the weather. batch-mixe- d d, , Fiber Board Improved Research and experimental work covering a period of years by expert chemists and engineers ha3 resulted in perfecting a number of improved, moderate price fiber boards. Their chatter and song awaken residents from Lehi to Provo. The canning company furnishes transportation, and pays the pickers 1 cents a pound. Some of the best pickers can and do make $3.50 a day. MYTON A recent survey of dairying under the Uintah irrigation project indicates that the dairy industry in the Uintah basin is Increasing quite rapidly. It has already been found beneficial in solving the financial problems of the farmers here. SPANISH FORK This section was visited by the heaviest rainstorm of the season late Saturday afternoon.
