Sligh told a strange story, but the jury believed it. He said he. was awakened by a youth who stood beside his bed with a revolver and demanded his money and diamond ring. He grnp pled with the youth, he told the jury, and during the struggle the lamp in his bedroom was overturned, setting fire to the bouse.
