McClure, now on staff at the Casper newspaper, was selecto ted produce the photographs for 1984 Evanston calender commisthe sioned by the Evanston Urban Renewal Agency to raise funds for its downtown redevelopment plans. McClure has a distinguished background in photography, induing a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Wayne State University. McClure has worked as a freelance photographer in Wyoming, and has been published in many publications, notable The New York Times, TIME Magazine, The Denver Post, Western Wildland Magazine and the Audubon Magazine. He has also published works in the U.S. News and World Report Changing Times Magazine, Wyoming Horizons, Better Homes and show, Black and White, 1982; and tional Newspictures. McClure was employed by the Wyoming Land Use Administration in 1979 to produce the photography and layout for the Wyoming State Land Use Plan. He has also worked as staff photographer for the Detroit Free Press. Awards garnered by McClure include the Sinks Canyon Photo Con Star-Tribu- at the Pioneer Bank. Photograph by Mike McClure. McClure has had photographic exhibitions at the Wyoming State Museum, Cheyenne; Nicolaysen Art Museum, Casper; Central Wyoming College, Riverton; and has had photographs included in the 2nd Annual Holiday Retrospective an exhibit of art by 18 Wyoming artists at the Historic Governors Mansion Cheyenne. McClure is i.jw sponsored by the Wyoming Council on the Arts and School District 25, school year 1982-8- 3 in Riverton and, on a stipend basis, is currently handling the photographic needs for the High Country News. McClure was the redipient in 1983 of a scholarship from the Ansel Adams Photographic Workshop held in Carmel, California during August. .Works by McClure may be d Sunday, as well as the Evanston Calenders, which are notated for local events throughout 1984.
