Show December Know Your Religion December 1 The Kemmerer Wyoming Stake presents the Know Your Religion Series Thursday, December 1 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. William McClure, Principal of the first Idaho Seminary will be speaking on committment and dedi- cation. The series is for Randolph and Woodruff Wards and everyone is invited to attend. There will be no charge. Those attending are asked to please be on time and bring a set of scriptures. This is the second lecture in the 1983-8- 4 Series to be held in Randolph. Other lectures scheduled will be held February 2, March 1 and April 5. Mike Downing Returns From Mission Mike son of Floyd Downing and JoAnn Klinger has returned home to Woodruff after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Downing served in the Deer-boMichigan Mission. On Friday, November 18 several friends and relatives greeted Mike at the Salt Lake City airport. Among those who greeted Downing were Louisa Comia, Lisa Wanner, Hardy and Linda Downing and family, and Downings mother and sister of Salt Lake City. Mikes welcome home will be held Sunday December 4 at the Woodruff Chapel. Downing, Hiedi Elaine Orton, daughter of Shelene and Tracy Orton was given a name and a blessing Sunday November 20th at the Latter Day Saints Woodruff Chaple. Hiedi was blessed by her father. Relatives present for the occa-tio- n were Chuck and Nancy Huffa-ke- r, Joyce Orton, Martin Gogan, Hiedis two sisters, Heather 5, and Holly 2 V2 and her brother T.J. 4. North Rich Mustangs fought a tough battle against the Mt. Crest team, Tuesday night, but the final in favor of Mt. score tallied 59-5- 7 Crest. The lead changed hands several times throughout the first quarter. 6 The first quarter ended with Mt. Crest on top. The lead throughout the remainder of the game. At half time Mt. Crest was five points ahead and at the end of the third quarter they were ten points ahead. Despite the point span, the North Rich Mustangs put forth an extra effort and closed the game with an exciting finish, losing by only two. I felt that this being our first game of the season, my boys performed very well, stated coach It was a good, Alan Wamsley. balanced game and one that we could have won. Scott Wamsley was leading scorer with 20 points. Kelly Mills and Bryan Lamborn each totaled 12, with Bob Anderson also scoring in double figures. With four players in double figures in the first game, it is a good preview of what to expect in future games. 18-1- Laketown Ward Homemaking Night Laketown Homemaking meeting will be held Tuesday, December 6, 1983 at 7:00 p.m. The ladies will be learning different and unusual ways of decorating Christmas trees. There will be a tasters table where you will find all sorts of appi-tizerfruits, candies, and drinks to sample from. If you would like to bring a special treat for the tasters table, all help will be appreciated. Anyone wanting to contribute to the swim fund is encouraged to drop off their aluminum cans in the designated painted containers. The containers are placed at the Hub, Zions Bank and other areas.
