SCOTT STEWART Gets Eagle friends and neighbors and would like to see all of the residents of Fruit Heights become more involved in maintaining the community as a safe, clean, and wholesome place to raise families. If elected, some of Dave's goals for Fruit Heights would be: Keep the rural atmosphere of the city, planning growth carefully to preserve the special atmosphere that exists there now. He would not like to see much, if any, industrial or commercial growth. However, the rights of property owners with property suited for that type of growth must be individually considered. We have been wisely counseled to stay out of debt. That counsel should apply to government as well, (a) We have to keep city spending down whenever possible. (b) The county debt is too high. We need to put pressure on county officials to use bonding only as a last resort. We have to keep our capital improvements in good repair.. It is obvious our present city employees care very much about the city of Fruit Heights. Dave appreciates that and wants to do all he can to help make Fruit Heights a good place for them to work, so that they can maintain that dedication. He would like to foster good cooperation and mutual understanding between the citizens and the city government.
