Show OCTOBER 6, 1987 Dart Board: homecoming Falcon Forum: Names scott, Angie Shelly, Michele By BRADY NIXON My friends always want to see my column when it comes out. They dont want to read it, just see it. Then they turn to the sports page to see if their names are there. So I thought, "Hey, this is my column, I'll write what 1 want to write. Id like to think somebody else is reading my article besides Mr. Cutler and myself. So, my friends, maybe this will do the trick. Here are some of your names. Mardee Andersen, Jodi Eric Barlow, Angie Bennett, Jeff Booth, Lori Chandler, Mary Chapman, Matthew Child, Bam-broug- h, Tammy Child, Rachelle Clements, Brant Cutler, Darren Cutler, Kelly Egan, Tina Fellows, Tricia Fraser, Maria Gallegos, Cathy Garrett, Ryan Hatch, Rob Haitt, Lyman Houston. Susie James, Kevin Jamison, Trisha Jorgensen, Brett Kenley, Viki Larsen, Melanie Markos, Dave McNaughtan, Melanie Miles, Diann Millikan, Darrin Nicholas, Amber Poll, Shane Pre- - By Stevens, Dave Stephens, Stephanie Swanson, Belinda Thompson, Sam Toomer, Teresa Vigil, Bruce VanWagenen, Pat White, Nikki Wight, and all of my other friends. Forgive me if your name didnt appear. They may not tell me what to write, they just limit how much I write. Besides, Im sure the person who retypes this just loves me now. Moving on to a bit of school business. Congratulations to our football team who is doing a super job. Our Lady Falcon volleyball team is as strong as ever, and we wish them the best. Good luck to the golf, tennis, and cross country teams. We are looking forward to a super year. ANDREA JILL BISHOP F. H. women are honored That about wraps up everything that has or is going on at Clearfield. Oh, one last thing. Tammy and Nikki, if you think Im going to write a whole article about you just because you wanted me to, youre crazy! Ok, maybe next week. Until then... Lancer Lexicon here! By NOEL BRAVO Although it has been delayed, the Lancer Lexicon is finally on its feet. In fact, the late initiation of this column is a good example of how hectic school life is at Layton y High. This is definitely a high-energ- year. By the way things are shaping up, the 1987-8- 8 school year is looking to be one of the best yet for Layton High. The great successes that different organizations have had already are proof. Groups such as the Lancelles, flag team, band yearbook staff and others began the year having already won awards and honors. Others, like the newspaper staff, the National Honor Society (see story this issue), and of course the Lancer football team, have made their big accomplishments more recently. Layton High, being a reasonably young school, is often looked upon as working its way to the top, but this was never so true as it is now. The general consensus around this town seems to be that Layton High School is "the school to watch. On the other hand, however, its true that actions speak louder than words, therefore, only time will tell our tale of success. On a more personal note, things have pretty much quieted down around school as students look toward the end of first term in four weeks. Following this incredible UEA four-da- y weekend, LHS will host Weber for volleyball on Tuesday the 13th, and on Wednesday, Roy comes to Layton for a crosscountry track meet and the state golf tournament begins. Look forward to seeing this column in every issue of the to keep up to date on the LHS view.
