Jackson dies at 73 Harold Ephraim Buzz Ellison, 82, of Salt Lake City, died Friday, July 17, 1987 in Salt Lake City of Ormus Brent Dalton, 46, of 1737 670 West, died Friday, July 17, 1987, at his home of heart failure. He was bom Dec. 25, 1940, in Ogden, a son ofOrmusG. and Effie Stevens Dalton. He married Carolyn Thurgood in March of 1962 in Ogden. They were later divorced. He married Mary Yoakam Cutler on Feb. 10, North Louise Stephenson Jackson, 73, of Layton, died Friday, July 17, 1987, at the Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of cancer. She was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Lewiston, Utah, a daughter of Francis Marion and Louesa Wheeler Stephenson Jr. She married Thomas Roy Jack-soNov. 20, 1934, in Farmington, Utah. He died Feb. 15, 1968. She had worked at the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1977. She was reared and educated in Lewiston. She had lived in Ogden and in Layton for the past 45 years. She attended public schools in Lewiston and graduated from North Cache High School. She was a member of the Layton 7th LDS Ward where she had taught Primary and Sunday School. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Stephen R. Jackson, San Jose, Calif.; Jerald T. Jackson, Murray; Mrs. Gary (Pamela) Hewitt, Layton; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. Services were held Monday, July 20, 1987 at the Lindquists Layton Chapel with Bishop Kent Rampton, Layton 7th Ward, officiating. Family prayer was offered by e Gerald P. Jackson. Interment was in the Lewiston City Cemetery with dedication of grave by Jeffery Jackson. Pallbearers were Jeff Jackson, Scott Jack-soDavid Jackson, Chris Jack-soMatt Hewitt and Gary Hewitt. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Hewitt, Greg Jackson and Rod Jackson. Funeral directors were Lindquist Mortuary. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 21, in the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Roy. Interment in the Ogden City Cemtery. Military honors were accorded by the American Legion Color Guard. R. Beck Sr. n, n, rites held Russell Roger Beck Sr., 68, died Friday July 17, 1987 at his home of cancer. He was bom Dec. 18, 1918 in Lehi, a son of Melvin and Comfort Garfield Beck. He married Fay E. Jones on Nov. 9, 1937 in Clearfield. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the Layton 25th LDS Ward. He had served as Sunday School superintendent and served in the Elders quorum. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a former for C. Hunt Thursday, July commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had been commander of the Davis County Jeep Patrol. He had lived in Ogden, Clearfield and Layton. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son and one daughter, Russell Roger Beck Jr., Layton; Lisa F. Kilburn, Layton; one brother and one sister, Earl Beck, Layton, and Ada Hardman, Cali- CATHERINE ANNE HUNT fornia. She was bom April 11, 1939 in Seattle, Wash., a daughter of Thor and Dorothy Hvatum Bjomstad. She married Conlan Dahl in Seattle, Wash. They were later divorced. She married Gilbert J. Hunt May 3, 1963 in Centerville, Utah. She graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, Wash. She attended Weber State College where she earned a CRS and a GRI. She received a certificate in logistics management. She had been employed at Grand Central, IRS as a tax examiner, Hill Air Force Base in procurement and accounting. She had also worked for Layton City. She was a licensed real estate e member agent. She was a of the Million Dollar Club and was top salesperson for many years with Wardley Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. At the time of her death she was one of the ORMUS BRENT DALTON repairs and maintenance as an electronics technician for 25 years. Surviving are his widow of Clinton, two sons, and three daughters, offered by William Clough Jr. The invocation was given by Amy Jack-so- n with remarks by Bishop Rampton. The two speakers were Gerald P. Jackson and William Clough Sr. A Ogden. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 through 1961 and also served in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the Clinton 10th LDS Ward. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and had also coached Little League baseball for many years. He worked at Hill Air Force Base Lind- heart failure. He was bom Nov. 29, 1904 in Layton, Utah, a son of James E. and Jane Watt Ellison. He married Florence Cooley April 1, 1923 in Malad, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended the University of Utah where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and marksman. She was a gourmet cook and helped to organize a gourmet club that met for over 14 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Layton. Surviving are her husband of Layton; four sons and two daughters, Randy Dahl, Phoenix, Ariz.; Troy M. Hunt, Atsugi, Naval Air Station, Japan; Gilbert Hunt Jr., Salt Lake City; Rick Hunt and Mrs. Jeff (Lisa) Pittman, both of Ogden; Mrs. Jim (Cherie) Malone, Chandler, Ariz.; two granddaughters and two grandsons. Also surviving are her parents of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Eline) Dederer, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Clay (Barbara) Washington, D.C.
