Show JULY 21, 1987 L, Laser-Loud- Lees honored on 50th date recite vows Curtis Laser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Laser of Kaysville, and Carolyn Louder, daughter of Mr. Ray F. and Harriet Heywood Lee were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary, July 17 with a family dinner hosted by their children at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington. The Lees were married July 17, 1937 in Farmington. Except for three years spent in Porterville and Bountiful, they have lived in the Layton-Kaysvill- e area all of the 50 and Mrs. Raymond Louder of Coalville, were married in ceremonies performed June 19 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception was held in their honor at the Coalville LDS Ward. Best man was Neal Laser. Matron of honor was Diane Ogden. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Homer, Lori Lee Louder, Jany Calder-wooWendy Thueson, and Carol years. Laytons honorary senior citizens are Ada Forbes and Alleen Nelson. Two Layton seniors feted except topping beets. Mrs. Forbes says she was lucky because he didnt grow beets. On April 11, 1927, Ada married Ray J. Forbes and they moved into an almost finished home on Cherry Lane in Layton. Mr. Forbes passed away 8!A years ago. Ada has lived in the same house since her LAYTON Honorary Layton Senior Citizens for 1987 are Ada P. Forbes and Alleen T. Nelson. The women were selected by the Layton Senior Citizens Committee for their contribution to the Layton Seniors program and for their efforts in many other ways. Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. Nelson rode in the Layton Riata Days parade. They have been invited to ride in the Davis County Fair parade. marriage. I, with the starting time set at 7 a.m. Fun Run director, Marianne Krueger, says the run will begin and end at Davis High School. She is the daughter of Henry and Florence Stinger Talbot. Alleen has a twin sister that lives in Ogden plus another sister and three brothers. Her twin sister just celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary. Alleen married Harvey Nelson and moved into her persent home on Love Lane. She has one daughter, Carol Moss of Bountiful, four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Nelson has always been an active member of the LDS Church. She was one of the first to participate in the Layton Senior Citizens group. Although Mrs. Nelson does many different types of sewing and handiwork and she enjoys gardening, she is best known for her quilting skills. She has entered many fairs with her quilts. When the LDS Church Young Ladies Mutual Organization celebrated their centennial, Mrs. Nelson was asked to quilt a large wheat design in the center. Harriet was born in Kaysville, Dec. 28, 1916, adaughter of LeviS. and Ellen Ellis Heywood. The family returned to Utah in 1918, settling in their home town of Elsinore. He moved to Layton with his family in 1936 and later moved to Kaysville.
