She grew up in Montana and lived in Portland, Ore., for 26 years before coming to Utah, to attend Brigham Young University in January, 1960. Mrs. Harris graduated in August, 1962 by attending summer school, after being out of high school for 35 years. She majored in political science and minored in English. ' She is retired from Davis County (School District having taught En-- j glish at Sunset Junior High and Central Davis Junior High in Layton. ' I Mrs. Harris is the mother of two j ; j ! daughters, Darlene, residing in Oregon and Charlotte, who is pre- sently serving an LDS mission in Johannesburg, South Africa.
