Show JUNE 30, 1987 L, Kuralt places first in National French test Purdue honor John B. Sampson Jr., 2S48 E. N., Layton, has been named distinguished student by Purdue University. Mr. Sampson is a freshman majoring in engineering. David Kuralt, a SUNSET ninth grade student at Sunset Junior High, was recently notified that he is the first place winner of the National French Honors Test, 1823 Level I. David scored a perfect 100 percent on the test. He is one of three students in the nation to attain a perfect score. To determine the top French student on Level I, a special essay was given to the three students who scored 100 percent. David won the essay contest, making him the number one French student on Level I in the nation. The French test is sponsored by Hot News Tips For North Davis? The bride is the daughter of Ried H. Daniels and Lorna H. Daniels, both of Kaysville . The groom is the son of Dr. David B. Roll of Salt Lake City and Michaele H. Roll of Lebanon, New Jersey. A wedding breakfast honoring the newlyweds was held at the Lion House. A reception was held that evening at the Kaysville Rock Chapel. The bride is a graduate of Davis High School and Brigham Young University. She served an LDS Peru Lima North mission. The groom is a graduate of Highland High School and attends Somerset College. He is employed by Janseen Pharmeceutical. He served an LDS Peru Lima South Mission. The couple will make their home in Washington, New Jersey. MR. AND MRS. BLAIR C. WALL Wall weds Haapala DAVID KURALT Teachers of French. It consists of 80 questions covering listening; comprehension, grammar and culture. This years test was given nation wide to more than 82,000 students at five levels. June 25 to July 30. He will visit many amusement parks, museums and historic places. Four days will be spent living with a French speaking family in Montreal. David has been studying French at Sunset Junior High for two years. He recently won a first place ribbon for spelling at the BYU Foreign Language Fair for secondary school students. David will attend Clearfield High School this fall. He plans to continue studying French. He hopes to pursue a career in the language at the Salt Lake LDS -- Temple. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. Tand Mrs. LaMar R. Wall of 2744 E. July 1 he will join the staff at Northwestern University to practice pediatric neurosurgery at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago for one year. At the completion of this year, he plans to join the staff at the University of Utah as a pediatric neurosurgeon at Primary Childrens Hospital.
