Deadline for filing for the judgeship is Oct. 1, 21 days prior to the primary election on Oct. 'A This is deadline also for filing for candidacy for the three city council positions up for election this fall. 302 Signatures Recorder Bench said a petition had been filed with 302 signers asking that Judge Meservy's name be placed on the ballot, Minimum required is 100 signers.' Judge Merservy was graduated from the University of Utah Law School in 1952 and admitted to the Utah State Bar for practice of Law June 12, 1952. There will be two classes for children, at 10 a. m. and 11 a. m. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced swimmers will be tjken in each class, and put in an appropriate group with a qualified instructor. Registration fee will be S3 per child for a series of 12 lessons. There will be three weeks during which time the twelve lessons must be completed. Registrations are being accepted at the Provo Recreation Office, 206 City Building. There will also be another adult ladies class offered during this period starting Aug. 12, at 12 noon, providing there are at least 30 ladies desiring to enrol".
