Floral Paintings Predominate In Vork of Locqj Artist By GRACE M. CANDLAND It is a treat to visit the home and studio of Mrs. Eliza R. Fillmore, Fill-more, where many of her paintings paint-ings are to be seen, some finished and others ready for framing. Mrs. Fillmore has gone to nature's na-ture's floral kingdom to reproduce repro-duce some of its loveliness on canvas. This is her way of sharing shar-ing her versatile gift of artistry with her fellow men. -During 1947 she painted more than 450 pieces, 20 of which she gave away as gifts to friends and 30 more to out-of-state friends. She is not only an artist with oil and water color as her medium, me-dium, but she is also a designer. She made the design for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers scrapbook cover. The design shows an ox bearing bear-ing a beehive of yellow with a background of desert sage, all symbolical of Utah's history, sne has also, designed many booklets, announcements, greeting cards, cushions and doilies. Flower arrangement is another sift of Mrs. Fillmore's. Neighbors and friends often bring their flowers to her to be arranged for parties and weddings.
