Bureau of reclamation today to-day completed investigation of a proposed "small reservoir" site at Woodruff in Rich county and presented its report to State Engineer En-gineer T. H. Humphreys for reading read-ing and approval. Reclamation bureau has completed com-pleted reports on two other similar simi-lar projects at Gooseberry and Newton as part of Utah's program pro-gram of projects to be considered under the Case-Wheeler small reservoir res-ervoir act. . , The Newton project in Cache county was the first under the act to receive the final approval cf President Roosevelt and Reclamation Recla-mation Commissioner John C. Dec. 7 (U.R) Labor rates and processing contracts con-tracts for the 1941 sugar, beet season will he discussed at a public pub-lic meeting here Dec. 16 of growers grow-ers and processors from Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington it was announced today. The epidemic cf influenza which has been sweeping the western states has reached Provo, but most of the cases repored here fortunately have been mild. City Physician C. M. Smith said Saturday. Satur-day. Too many precautions against influenza cannot be taken, stated Dr. Smith, woh suggested that persons per-sons having the symptoms of the disease go to bed- If the case is severe, the family physician should be summoned at once, he said. Influenza is very easy to contract, con-tract, and for this reason, it is wise to isolate persons having it from the rest of tti2 family, the physician physi-cian warned. Most cases reported here have been mild, appearing in the form of a severe cold, Dr. Smith said. NEW YORK, Dec. 7 a:.i: Health Commissioner Dr. John L. R'ee called a conference of health officials to meet Monday because of the possibility that influenza may be spreading here from the Pacific coast by air travelers. The conference will decide on the uniform procedure to handle an epidemic if one comes and to take every advance preventive measure possible.
