BANK ASSETS CASE ARGUED Judge Martin M. Larson Saturday Satur-day took under advisement the request re-quest of R. VV. McMullin that the sale of the remainder of the assets as-sets of the Payson Exchange bank be postponed for 30 days to give two groups of depositors a chance to investigate the remaining assets as-sets more thoroughly. Mr. McMullin said he was representing rep-resenting two groups of depositors in asking for more time on the sale although J. W. Robinson, attorney, at-torney, pointed out that negotiations negotia-tions for the sale had been going forward for two years. R. H. Andrus, Spanish Fork, had posted $500 cash for the purchase of the assets and said he was ready to produce $4500 more in total payment pay-ment provided an order from the court on the liquidation of the bank and the sale is obtained. Mr. Andrus was in court Saturday morning and announced that he stood ready to withdraw his offer of $5000 for the remaining assets if there is a delay. Mr. Robinson said that an attempt at-tempt had been made for two years to get satisfactory bids on the assets as-sets and that Mr. Andrus was the first one received for more than $100. Mr. McMullin told the court that some time ago $8000 was held as a low price by bank officials although al-though some assets have been sold since that time. The petition for the sale of the assets and the order for liquidation liquida-tion was made by J. A. Malia, state banking commissioner. E. H. Street, examiner in charge of the bank, was on the stand Saturday. Judge Larson announced Saturday Satur-day afternoon that his ruling will be made shortly. Pleads Not Guilty In Mortgage Case L. M. Brian of Provo pleaded not guilty to a charge of concealing mortgaged property in an appeal case in the Fourth district court Saturday. Brian is accused by G. M. Taylor of having last year concealed three cars said to have been mortgaged to the Columbia Industrial Loan company on a $512 loan. The case of E. W. SPORTSMEN GIVE PROJECT LIST (Continued From rage One) and goose feeding ground. The surveys will be made early next spring. We also have succeeded in getting the yellow perch, crappie, and bluegill fish planted : in the Utah lake. The plans for the construction con-struction of artificial spawining beds for perch and crappie have been made. Trout Planting We have agitated the planting of German Brown and Lock Haven trout in our streams, much against the sentiment of the state department, depart-ment, until this year we feel they too have become converted to these fine fish, as evidenced by' their having some 2,500,000 of them to plant this spring. The state department de-partment have made arrangements with the Montana fish and game department for the exchange of at least two million rainbow spawn for a like number of the German Brown and Lock' Haven annually. 2. Another project is that of making mak-ing of the Strawberry lake a native trout lake, having securedJthe cooperation co-operation of the Bureau of Fisher ies, the state department, ana me Water Users' association in this matter. A good deal of time and some money has been spent by this group trying to popularize Utah lake for boating- and fishing. 3. The Powell's Slough, a tract embracing some three hundred acres has had our attention also. This could be made an excellent adjunct to the production of warm water fish. 4. We have cooperated with the state department in propagation of pheasants in feeding and protecting protect-ing this noble game bird. 5. We have also "worked with other associations of the state and the state-department for study of the big game and the solving of the damage problem by these animals. We desire to invite the public and all interested in the great outdoors out-doors to think over these things. If you favor them, pay the secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, C. F. Peterson, fifty cents (50c), come to our meetings, and lend your moral support to completing the above and the solving solv-ing of such other problems as may confront us.
