U. jomed with the Goldbricicenf in giving their fourteenth annual formal Thanksgiving banquet ban-quet and dance Saturday' evening at the Hotel Roberts. ' ) The huge triangle-shaped banquet table was tastefully decorated with low bowlsr of "roses and blue tapers in gold brick holders. yEeauti-ful yEeauti-ful corsages of pink roses were presented to the girls. The unique and attractive programs were in the form of gold and blue silk booklets with a celluloid cover tied with a tiny gold and blue satin bow. In the center of the triangle were, four large' illummated Nugget shieldsand, baskets of ferns hung from the ceiling. 7 Clyde Beuhler, president, made the address of welcome and introduced the toastmaster, Carl Warnick. The following follow-ing enjoyable program was furnished during the banquet: Selection, "Bricker Haven Sweet- heart," entire group, accompanied by Walter Daniels; piano solo, Walter Wal-ter Daniels; torfst, "To Alumni," Howard Kelly; vocal solo, "Cuban Love, Song," Kent Johnson, accompanied accom-panied by Miss Sina Brimhall; . toast, "To Women," Kyle Clark; toast, "Bricker haven," Tred M. Moore"; vocal solo, "The Old Refrain,'' Re-frain,'' Joseph Robertson, .accom-panted .accom-panted by string trio consisting of Jay Keeler, Gustav ' Buggert and Donald Olsen; toast, "To Youth," President P.'S. Vikings Hos ts At Annual Formal Vikings of the B. x. U. were Y. U. hosts at their annual , formal dinner-dance Wednesday evening at the Springville Second ward amusement amuse-ment Sail, and the affair proved one of the most outstanding social functions of the season. Music was the theme of the party, huge notes and bars of music being: employed in the novel and attractive attrac-tive decorative scheme. A huge Viking - shield formed the background back-ground for the orchestra stand, and Viking ships were employed. An elaborate banquet was served, serv-ed, the guests being seated at fou.-long fou.-long tables. Roses in pink vases with the inscription, "Vikings 1931" also the girl's name engraved were presented as favors. Thes3 and pink tapers, formed the pretty table appointments. Rigby Jacobs was the toast-master, toast-master, and a number of clever toasts were given as fqllows: "Treble Clef," James Miller; "Base Clef," Mark Eggertsen; "Notes;" Lyman Partridge; "Blue Notes, or Scrud," Sterling Stahr. Barr Washburn, president, gave the address of welcome, and remarks re-marks were made by George Bally faculty sponsor. Two vocal solos were rendered by Ralph Britschu and two violin selections were fui-nishd fui-nishd by Lawrence Whitman. Dancing followed the banquet and during intermission, three selections were sung by the Mur-dock Mur-dock sisters and two pipe organ numbers were played by Clyde San'dgren.
