V Plans for financing: the communities', half of the cost, the other rialf and the maintenance of the hospital to be provided pro-vided by the L. D. S. church, arc now under way. The advantages of such a hospital are many. No modern citv is without adequate, well-equipped hospital hos-pital accommodations. No one is immune from accidents or .illness, so that a hospital is as much a necessity as a fire department or public utility. The question of life itself often depends upon a thoroughly thorough-ly modern hospital, equipped with the best laboratories and apparatus known to science, together with every facility to aid in the vital work of restoring patients to health. It is the duty of every city to furnish to its physicians and surgeons a well-equipped workshop lor the benefit of the community". Utah county needs this proposed hospital,-which will be lo.-.'ited in Provo. Every constructive citizen should support sup-port a wise plan for raising the necessary funds. Taking the Bitter With the S weet "Why'-asks a reader, "is President Hoover blamed for hard time3? He is not responsible for them, any more than anyone else. It doesn't seem fair." No one, so far as this paper knows, is blaming the president presi-dent for hard times. But a good many, people are criticizing the administration's announced methods of bringing ba,ck good times. . . During his election campaign, the president awarded the Republican administration credit for prosperity. The party took the credit and was returned to power largely on the theory that it .would continue to produce good timcs Having accepted credit for good times, the party and its leader must accept blame for hard times. It cannot assert that it made prosperity and then turn around and disclaim responsibility for hard times altho that, is exactly what it is trying to do. I . Norris is running for renomination. Out in the town of1 Broken Bow, Neb., his antagonists have found a grocer, whose name is also George W. Norris. This man has become a candidate in the primaries against the senator. J Nebraska law forbid3 any distinguishing mark with a candidate's name on the ballot.
