Those in attendance were nearly all students of the university, very few were married couples, while approximately fifty couples were visitors from outside the school. A new method was introduced to the waltz, which everyone soon became adapted to and seemed to enjoy. The 'backward step seemed to confuse the lesser developed minds but after a half hour's drilling it became very simple even to a baby. Everyone in the hail took an active part.. either on the floor or silently observing the technique by careful observation from the sidelines. Mrs. Inez Knight Allen gave the Relief society workers some very good advice on working among those who need charity. She mentioned many instances which charity workers might overlook and suggested some new methods of obtaining help. "Charity," she aaid, "is a very hard thing to accept" She gave helpful suggestions which would tend to overcome this difficulty.
