For Henry, last evening, soundly and roundly trounced one Royal Van Dusen, late champion of the welters, of Sail l.Hke. It was a tough evenin gfor Royally! Jones, by the way, never wrestled better, nor cleaner, nor fairer. And Van Dusen had no referee to aid him, for Farmer Burns was the third man chamin the ring, and the pion of heavies of the world made 'em wrestle clean and fast. The largest crowd that ever witnessed an indoor sport even in the armory crowded around the ring and partially filled the gallery last night. Van tried his old tactics of letting the other fellow do the work, lying low tor a display of carelessness, which after 22 minutes of wrestling Jones gave him. One is to wrestle and the other is to give littlo boys a chance of seeing wrestling. Last night Ira meandered down to Provo to see the Jones-VaDusen affair. Also a flock of Provo boys meandered over toward the Armory to get an eyeful of the wrestling match. But many of these little boys were coinless. It takes money to purchase the pasteboards entitling one to ad mission. So the boys hung around the entrance. Once in awhile one of them would slip through the crowded door and get in, only to be tossed out again. If caught. That throwing out business didn't appeal to Ira Dern. conducted several He personally boys into the Armory. Of course, the doorkeeper let "em in if they were with Ira. But finally Ira got Ired going In and out to get the lads into the Armory. He wanted to see something of the wrestling match. So he made a deal with the Armory management to let In free every boy at the door. That made a tremendous hit with the boy population of this city. If Ira Dern ever runs for any office down here he's sure of the boy vote. n JUtah County News LAST NIGHTS FIGHTS At Philadelphia George Chaney defeated Alex Hart in the fourth round.
