The childs recreation to- - this organization Genealogical Section. third Tuesday of each montlr is devoted to the study of the Women of the Bible. Also this same day assistance isoffered in the keeping of family records and in genealogical research. THE RELIEF SOCIETY HAKITY never faileth, is the motto of the Relief sociey, the first womans a organisation in the United States. Jesus said, If ye do a kindness unto the least of these, my children, ye do it unto me. In each ward of the church there is a society fully organized for the greatest sendee. The teachers go about from house to house, not for their own selfi&h pleasure,- - but with definite purposes in view. They learn of the condition of the people as to health and circumstances. They are pleased to receive any contributions one may wish to give for the feeding and clothing of the poor. They are pleased to gather also donations of wheat, which is stored for a time of need. (This wheat is kept in the church elevator where it is fully insured against fire or damage from storage and with a guarantee that the full amount will be retained in the elevator. This wheat is at the disposal of the ward Relief society officers and may be drawn out whenever the oficers deem it advisable to so order it. (gratitude is hereby extended to the many men and women who have so kindly assisted in this cause of relief to others.) These teachers also have a message of encouragement to deliver wherever such help is needed. The ' second Tuesday in every month Is Tea'phers day. Besides the reporting and handling' of funds, a topic of conversation is discussed, that the teachers may have fresh in their minds the topic to discuss with those whom they visit. The college looks upon the education of women in home economics as one of the greatest educational opportunities of our day. There is more wastage of life, labor and lack of understanding of the home and of the family than from any other cause. In America every year 400,000 babies and and young children die and 200,000 of these deaths are preventable. What an opportunity for the. enlightened motherhood f What a privilege it is to teach these things of modern science and art that mean so much to the human race. Utah women, already known for their devotion and their high idealism, have an opportunity to develop this great science and art as developed nowhere else. A member of the Stake Board and Home Economics committee of the Relief society is receiving by correspondence a course direct from the Agricultural college.
