STRAWBERRY QUEEN TO BE ELECTED A committee has been chosen to direct the choosing of a Strawberry Day Queen and consists of A. P. Warnick, Burton Smith, Mrs. A. P. Warnick, Ora West and Joe Christensen. The queen contest is one of the new features of Strawberry day and will be made an annual affair for future Strawberry Day celebrations. Votes will be sold at the rate of 100 for 25c but each contestant must have 1000 votes to her credit before she can be nominated for queen. The winner will be known by Sunday evening, June 17th and will have a choice of one of five rings to be awarded by the" committee. Votes will be sold at Hedquist Drug and each night the votes will be counted. The contest opened today. Arthur Olsen of the 'upper valley town was asked to pay $10 into the coffers of the city for speeding his auto beyond the limits set by the traffic ordinance.
