The president-elect of the student body, Ray Olpln, took his stand before a large white Y and taking the folds of the American flag In his right hand and those of he school colors In his left hand he affirmed that he would use his utmost endeavors . in the discharge of the duties of his office and work for the interest and advancement of the B. Y. university. The. vice president Miss Alice Ludlow made a similar affirmation, after which the present executive George Ballif . administered the affirmation to the other officers-elec- t. College hall was well filled with students and citizens who enjoyed jibe exercises. Short humorous speach- from a number of former student body presidents. LeRoy Cox. Marion Harris, and .Attorney J. Edward Johnson set the audience in a pleasant mood, and each one breathed the spirit of the institution.
