Prof. Andelin had his wonderful bass voice before he went away from Provo to study in Europe ; nature had given him that, but it boh shows wonderful volume and magnificent modulation. He has it so well under control, and his program so well arranged to show that control, that his hearers went into rapttire over his renditions. In The Drum Major, by Ambrose Thomas, the professor showed the wonderful volume ot his voice, at the very beginning of his program, hut it was in his old well known pieces. Roeked in the Cradle of the Deep, and Asleep in the. Deep. that the culture of his voice showed up fn comparison with his past appearances in Provo to such good advantage. Schuberts artistic little - brook i Wohin and La Serena-ta- , song, by Paolo Tosti given in German and Italian, were clean pieces of professional work. Great as were the praises of the audience for the work of his rich 25e Egytian voice, Mrs. Andelin was no less a Tissues wonder to her admirers and 12Yit friends. She has at her command the most difficult selections from 20e Serpentine the masters, and seems to live the Crepes pieces, making the piano , fairly ' ' talk the parts. It would seem al. 12 most out of place for Prof. Andelin to sing without his wife to ac20c Dress ' Crepes company him, for she knows just when and how' to make the instrument accentuate his work. It was so much that the audience deappreciated manded an encore. The professor fs voice stood out clear and full above the other voices, some of which were the best in Provo. The Tabernacle Choir rendered two charming selections, the Soldiers Chorus by Gounod and the Day of Glory by Bellini, both pieces that have been heard before by the same artists. Two strangers sat near the scribe and made comments during the evening.
