On the vote o? these two men Utah County lost $3,600.00 of the state road funds Yesterday the board of county commissioners met and the report from the State Road Commission commissionwas submitted ers. This report stated that there is in the state treasury $3,60000 for this county providing the county commissioners will appropriate a like amount for' state 'roads. Commissioner Ward was heartily in favor of the appropriation and voted for it, but the other two members of. the board absolutely refused to consider the states offer. For months bqth Isaacs and Christenson have been reactionary in every movement for the countys good. The roads in all parts of the county with the exception of a small district around American Fork and - a 'xmaH district around Leland have been ISft to go. County Engineer Twelves has made recommendations to - the hoard, but they have not given him any consideration whatever. The roads in the central district have-b- een in the hands of inpffieian; supervisors and from nearly every precinct comes protests on thi treatment given. t The residents of Lake View voted for a special sprinkling, tax. The sprinkler which should be on that road now standi at the side' of the road near American Fork and Isaacs and Christenson, according to authentic reports, refuse to allow the wagon to b brought .to Lake View. It is also reported that the roads are being sprinkled in the north end"bf tho county on county funds, while those who have made special levies are being shamefully treated by these two members of the board. The Lake View residents have asked for the appointment of a new road supervisor and members of all parties signed the petition submitted to the board, but when it reached them it went no'further and Ihe. same inefficiency which,. has marked the administration of these two men since they went intoffice has again shown up in that to--th- SATURDAY 10 A.
