Cluff Thursday evening in the Pleasant View ward hall, for their daughter, Lucile, and Edward H. Burgener, son of Mrs. Clara Burgener, who were married Monday in the Salt Lake temple. A large crowd of relatives and friends assembled to pay compliment to the honored young couple. White and yellow streamers and a profusion of beautiful spring flowers were employed in decorating1, and the? .- stage, in front of which the bridal party stood, was banked with the colorful blooms. Mr. and Mrs. Cluff and Mrs. Burgener received, and the bridal party included, in addition to the bride and groom, Mrs. Sterling Cluff, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Rowene C. Her veil of tulle and lace formed a halo effect ef-fect with satin, seed pearls and orange blossoms, and she carried roses and valley lilies. Mrs. Cluff was in Tlue taffeta, Mrs. Ward in henna lace, Miss Burgener in pink satin, Miss Foutin in blue satin and Miss McEwan in peach net over satin. They carried bouquets of sweet peas. The little flower girls were in blue crepe and yellow yel-low gorgette, respectively, and carried baskets of Ilowers. Lorna and Lloyd Cluff were, attired as a miniature bride and groom. Dancing to Dob Orton's orchestra or-chestra proved delightful, and with C. Sterling Cluff, brother of the bride, as master of ceremonies, a program was enjoyed. Two sclos were sung by the Ever-Ready Ever-Ready 4-H ciud, of whicfn the bride is a member, and a toast "To the Bride," was given by Mack Corbett of Salt Lake City. Clifton Cook toasted "The Groom." Tasty refreshments were served. Numerous handsome gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Burgener will reside re-side in Driggs, Idaho. Delta Theta Chi Initiations Held Second degree initiation ceremonies cere-monies were held by the Utah Epsilon chapter, Delta Theta Chi, Thursday evening at Hotel Roberts. Rob-erts. Mrs. Ann Peterson Maughan, Mrs. Mary Jane Goates of Salt Lake City, national -'council members mem-bers for Utah, were in charge, assisted as-sisted by Miss Nell Anacrson and Miss Glennis Quigley, also of Salt Lake. Misses Nedra Simpkins and Helen Huish arranged for the tasty buffet supper. Candy baskets were given as Mrs. Clara Taylor, .organist ; Mrs. favors, and yellow tapers in gold Agnes Crandall, parliamentarian; Camp No. 4-6, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met at the home of Mrs. Florence Lambert, captain, cap-tain, Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Lambert conducting. The following program was enjoyed: en-joyed: Solos, "Those Songs My Mother Used to Sing," and "Just A'Wearyin' For You," Mrs. Eve-yn Eve-yn McAffee, accompanied by Miss Helen De Graff; two readings read-ings "Penrod's Tar Figfht," and "Living With Himself." She carried a shower bouquet of white gardenias, and white delphiniums. The attendants were .sisters of tbe bride, and included Mrs. Selena Adams, matron of honor, who ap peared in ecru lace and carried a bouquet of orchid sweet peas and Talisman roses. The bridesmaids were Gertrude Roberts, who wore peach chiffon and Mi0" Jean Roberts, Rob-erts, in aqua marine chiffon, and both carried African daisies in nastel shades. James Chipman Fletcher, brother of the groom, was beat man. and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Roberts, William D. Rob- rerts and James E. Roberts, brothers broth-ers of the bride, and Dr. Wendell H. Tavlor of Santa Monica, Cal., were the ushers. Victor Delory, cousin of the bride, rendered a solo, Mrs. Vivian Delory Hillis, violinist; Miss Theta Guy, cellist, and Mr. Strouss, organist, or-ganist, furnished the music. After the ceremony, the immediate immed-iate family enjoyed a dinner at McDaniell's Monterey Cafe. The youne couple came to Utah, and a temple ceremony was performed per-formed in the Salt Lake temple this morning, a wedding supper to be held at the home of Mrs. Lvle Eccles Brimhall in Salt Lake City, this evening. The parents. Prof, and Mrs. Roberts Rob-erts and Dr. and Mrs. Fletcher witnessed the ceremony. The Roberts' Rob-erts' will be in Logan for two weeks where Prof. Roberts is to teach, and the Fletchers will return to their home in New York. After a honeymoon in Yosemite park, the newlyweds will reside in New York City. Dr. and Mrs. Wendell H. The bride wore a handsome gown of white lace and her Veil was caught with seed pearls. She carried a beautiful bouquet of Talisman .roses, tied with silk tulle. Miss Martha Facer, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids included: Misses Da.
