U. were charmingly entertained enter-tained at' an informal tea at the residence of Miss Eunice Bird Sunday Sun-day afternoon irom 3 to 5 o'clock. -The affair fas in honor of Miss Nita Wakefield and Mis Grace Gardner, brides of Wednesday next, lit a novel manner, each bride .was presented with a delicate rose bud bearing a card of greeting and a ribbon which led to the Val Norn bridal gift, a beautiful, mantel chime clock bearing the Val Norn symbol engraved in bronze metal. The presentation was made by Miss Ada Hasier, president of the organization. or-ganization. Appropriate music .was enjoyed throughout the afternoon. Numbers were given by the Val Norn trio, consisting of the Misses Maxine Phelps, Lota Paxman antl Pauline Bennett. Miss Wilma Hanson and Miss Hanna Prusse entertained with vocal solos. Val Norn songs were sung by the group. The enertaining rooms throughout through-out were decorated with red peonies and ferns. Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served. .
