Show TO MORMONS The following has been handed to The Dispatch by tbe signers with the request that it be published: 7 0 the Members of the Church of Jesut Christ of Latter-day Saints, in tlie Utah Stake of Zion: It is reported, upon good authority thai different individuals in thia stake are attempting to influence voters to 1 support certain candidates, upon the statement, "That it is the desire of the first presidency of the church, that this or that ticket should prevail," If such claims are being made, it is a reflection upon the honest andsincer-1 andsincer-1 ity of the first presidency, and all per sons who use such pertuasion should be rebuked . The first presidency have emphatically emphatic-ally stated that the members of the church are entirely and perfectly free in all political matters, and that if any man claims that it is the wish of the i first presidency that a democrat shall vote the republican ticket, or that a republican re-publican bhall vota the democratic ticket, let all people know thai he ie endeavoring to deceive the public, and is unauthorized to make such statements. state-ments.
