Show CERTIFICATES TO BE ISSUED To Seventy-Eight of the Delegates to the Constitutional Convention Known to be Elected, The Utah commission assembled at 10 o'clock to consider the question of issuing certificates of election to delegates to the constitutional convention conven-tion and receive the report of the canvassing can-vassing board as to the Thifd (Salt Lake) precinct. Upon convening in the afternoon, Commissioner Norrel offered the following: fol-lowing: Whkreas. The returns from the several sev-eral counties of the territory for delegates dele-gates to the convention authorized to frame a constitution for the proposed state of Utah (except the counties of Beaver, Box Elder, Sanpete.Weber and the Third precinct of Salt Lake city) have been duly canvassed by this commission, com-mission, and the results thereof ascertained; ascer-tained; now, therefore, be it ordered that certificates of election be issued to the several parties entitled thereto from said counties as delegates to said convention, viz: ' Cache Moses Thatcher, W. And the chairman of thia commission and the secretary hereby duly sign and attest the said certificates in accordance accord-ance with the provisions of law. The resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote. In pursuance of thiB action certificates certifi-cates will at once be issued to seventy-eight seventy-eight members of the convention, leaving leav-ing twenty-nine yet to issue. Of the aeventy-eight given above forty-one are republicans and thirty-seven democrats. |
