Show THE VOTING. At 3 o'clock word come3 from all the polling places south of Provo to the democratic headquarters in thiB city that "everything is going big our way." From the north comes the information, "gaining on 'em nicely." Here in Provo the Enquirer balletic falsifies as does the Enquirer itself, and says that so far the republicans bave cast 141 more votes in the city than have the democrats. There is considerable scratching but the following is as near the truth as can be got at. At pole 1, there are 537 voters registered. regis-tered. At 3 o'clock 390 ot these had voted. The count shows that of these the democrats have a majority of 20 to 25. A poll 2 there are 406 voters registered. regis-tered. OftheBe283 have voted. The republican counters concede that the democrats have 18 majority. In the Third (that awful Third) out of 329 registered voters, at 2:15 o'clock 235 had caet their bailote.Of that num ber, the republicans had perhaps 30 majority. |
