Show A MOST APPALLING CRIME. Two Children Decapitated and Disemboweled Disem-boweled by a Boy. Paulding, O., Nov. 5. A most appalling ap-palling murder was discovered here this morning. Two children of Samuel Sam-uel Good, living three miles north of town, were iound in a brush pile, murdered, mur-dered, and an attempt had been made to burn the bodies. The girl, aged 6. was decapitated and disemboweled and tha boy's throat wa8 cut from ear to ear nd his head nearly severed from hi body. The boy is 3 years old. The children left home at 10 a. m. yesterday. yester-day. At 3 p. m. a searching party was organized or-ganized and searched all night, and at 3 o'clock this morning the bodies were found. They presented a most horrible spectacle. The news of the affair spread rapidly and soon hundreds of people were on the scene. Sheriff Staley was among the number num-ber and arrested Charley Hart, a neighbor's boy, who was at once suspected sus-pected and the people of the neighborhood neighbor-hood are firm in the conviction of bis guilt. Young Hart says he cannot read or write and does not know his age, and ii very nervous. When accueed of the crime he denied-it in a nervous way. The bodies were, found within three rods of young Hart's home and about half a mile from the children's home. Tha little boy's boots were found in the grass a short distance from thb bodies. bod-ies. Their little hands were tied together to-gether with a piece of tarred rope, at tached to a billet of wood resembling a rough-hewn pump handle. It iB thought this will furnish a definite clue if the boy ia guilty. One of the grounds of suspicion is that when the dead bodies bod-ies were found the boy diecharged his gnn and ran to his home in an excited manner. He was one or the searching party and was not far distant when the children were found. |
