This was the second time that he had found himself within its walls, his first experience having embraced em-braced three mouths, a sentence that was imposed by Judge Powers, who stated at the time that he would have suspended sentence had the prisoner signified his willingness to obey the law. Ebert & Co-of this city, were awarded the contract on their bid of $520.00, on reconsideration of the specifications, the bid of the P. L. M. &B. Co. being $576.00. Specifications of the contract were misunderstood by both companies, and when bids were first entered it was found the former company had bid on a higher and more complete system of bath houses, but on reconsideration the bids were entered as above and the contract awarded to Ebert & Co. The electric light plant is being rapidly pushed to completion by Tbos. JE. Daniels; so that when the bathing season opens the resort will be a very attractive and ! inviting place for recreation and - amusement. |
