At the school, culprits entered the building by breaking a window sometime during the night. Locks were pried off the office door and desk, and approximately $18 was taken. Several rooms in the building were extensively lit tered, policemen reported. At the home of Dixie Cardall, 231 E. 700 N., clothing valued at approximately $100 was taken. At the Francis Cox home, 245 E. 800 N., break-i-n and vandalism were reported. OREM Thorpe B. Isaacson, first counselor in the LDS Presiding Bish opric and chairman of the Utah Valley LDS Hospital for the past eight years, will be honored by a Provo Chamber of Commerce testimonial Monday at 7 p.m. The testimonial, which will pay honor to Mr. Isaacson's untiring efforts in the development of the Utah Valley Hospital," will be held at the Riverside Country Club. C. of C. president, S. E. Jacob-sewill be master of ceremonies and present a suitably-inscribe- d plaque to the guest of honor. Provo Mayor L. L. Cullimore, will represent the city; Dr. Fred S. ' Endsley Jr., president of the hospital medical staff, will repre sent the medical profession, and County Commissioner Sterling D. Jones will speak on behalf of the county. The Utah Valley Hospital was launched as a community ven ture, through a Commonwealth Fund grant, in 1939. In 1953, the LDS Church .was invited to assume its ownership and operation, and Mr. Isaacson has been chair man of the board of trustees for the hospital since that time. All Convenient paint Harvey Glade, manager of the Provo office, of J. A. Hogle Co., spoke to members of the Utah County Chapter, Executive Secretaries, Inc., Tuesday evening at a dinner meeting. Mr. Glade reported that women now control American business through their ownership of more than 50 per cent of all stocks and bonds but generally hire professional management of their interests. He outlined considerations for women investors to be aware of before investing in stocks and also made suggestions on how to determine what stocks to buy. City Business The Orem City Council authorized the mayor's signature for use of the Federal Aviation Agency Fund in North Utah ' County for the four-cit- y airport project, moving the triangle curve on 1400 South and Carterville and the installation Of a guardrail on the west point of the triangle, at the Orem City Council meeting Monday night. The council session was dismissed in order to give city officials the opportunity of attending the annual Scera membership and election meeting. Following the Scera meeting,, the council reconvened to discuss the city curfew law, reviewed city engineer applications and electrical inspector applicants and proposed a contract between Orem City and Dean Park involving two share of Alta water.
