Show Arthella Newell Is Bride Of Charles Dearing of Orem OR KM Highlighting the social calender in Orem this week was the wedding reception given by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Newell in honor of their daughter Arthella and Charles Dearing, son of Mrs. Myrtle Dearing of Payson. The affair was held in Timpanogos ward hall with over 300 relatives and friends gathering to extend good wishes to the popular pair. Greeting the guests in h bower of white lattice work entwined with roses and banked with ferns were the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Newell, Mrs. Myrtle Dearing, Mrs. Bernice Wall, sister of bride, ma tron of honor, Evelyn and Romo- na Newell, were the bridesmaids. Dancers On Program OREM A program of dancing and music delighted members of the Orem Wofens club at their meeting at the Scera theatre. Greeting members and guests were Mrs. Ronald Adams and Mrs. Ted Voelker hostesses for the afternoon. Mrs. L. S. Maycock greeted the group and Mrs. Raymond Stewart read the Litany. Mrs. Max Pederson. in charge of music mu-sic introduced Glenda Burr and Robert Campbell who played three guitar selections. Mrs. Edgar Booth and Mrs. Ray Hanks were in charge of the program on radio and dance artists. Mrs. Booth gave a short history of the dance after which she presented a number of her Lincoln high school students demonstrating different types of dancing including ballet, tap, oriental, and the waltz. Students of Miss Lee of the BYU presented a modern version ver-sion of the minuet. Wiley Swapp and Clayton Beamer gave Hawaiian Ha-waiian dances and interpreted them. Accompanists for the dancing danc-ing were Mrs. Mahlon Drage, Genial Larsen and Utahana Walked. Walk-ed. Mrs. Ray Hanks depicted the life and characteristics of Fannie Brice. A large number of members and guests enjoyed the afternoon. Theater Party Is Planned Mrs. James Daniels was hostess hos-tess to Club 47 at her home Friday Fri-day evening. F. Irwin. Stake Primary Leaders Meet Utah Stake Primary board members met at the home of Thelma Groneman to plan for leadership meeting to be held Thursday. President Anna Harris commended commend-ed the group for their part in the successful Birthday Penny drive, which has just been completed. Leaders of the Homebuilder and Trailbuilder groups presented games and gave instruction on the teachi, g of Articles of Faith. Mima Rasband demonstrated finger plays.
